He is the reason that we are here now. Without God we would be nothing for we would not exist. How can one turn away from this great love? How can one instead think that they know everything that is? For me I would be to worried with what happens with me after I die. For this life only lasts a blink of an eye and what is beyond this will never end. Why be punished for your unwillingness to care for the truth? Why not at least look into the possiblity of God and what God wants from you.

Women Ordination Video

I found this video on you tube of women being well not really Ordained, but they do think they have been. Right now I am reading a book that is called "The Forge" which has many great spiritual quotes. Here are a few that I have found to be really good:

Live your life close to Christ. You should be another character in the Gospel, side by side with Peter, and John, and Andrew. For Christ is also living now: Jesus Christus, heri et hodie, ipse ei in saecula!- Jesus Christ lives! Today, as yesterday, he is the same, forever and ever.

An apostle who does not pray regulary and methodically will necessarily fall into lukewarmness... and he will then cease to be an apostle.

Here is a recipe for your way as a Christian: pray, do penance, work without rest, fullfilling your duty lovingly.

All of these come from the Forge which was written by Josemaria Escriva

What is this?

This following article is a response to a very crazy Letter to the Editor which was published in a past issue of the East Tennessee Catholic. It may have been just as out there crazy as the one published by Ursula Beckmann. I wish I still had this issue laying around so you could hear her words, but this letter will do.

I read Ursula Beckmann's letter ("Reader 'apalled and dismayed' by Mass changes," Aug. 6 ETC), and I could not have said it better. What possessed the shepherds of the church to spend so much time fixing something that was not broken? The issues she cites are much more important than any changes in the liturgy and should be addressed.
The bishops have been tinkering with the Mass since Vatican II, and I doubt very seriously that the changes have garnered any converts or deterred any abortions or prevented the abuse of children. So I say, guys, cease and desist the "much ado about nothing," and add some serious issues to your agenda. -Jack T. Brady Crossville Aug 20. ETC

Yep last time I checked we are only correcting the English to the Latin text. Those who celebrate the Mass in Spanish have always been doing what we are going to fix. Seems like this will make the church more universal seeing how we are one body and not many different bodies separated by our language. You would also have to be a fool to think bishops do not care about abortions or other issues like that. Bishop Kurtz of the Diocese of Knoxville is very involved in putting a stop to abortion. Before you speak you figure one would research their facts.

Purpose

The purpose of this BLOG is to give a look into the world of a Tennessee Catholic.
